2025 Annual Meeting and Awards Making Connections at the Annual Business Meeting!
Even though the National Planning Conference is in person this year, we will continue holding our annual business meeting virtually so more of our members can attend and get involved. All are welcome, whether you're a student, volunteer, or regular member. We also invite members to submit professional accomplishments when they register so we can celebrate success together.

The Annual Business Meeting also includes the presentation of the HMDR Division Awards:
- Kenneth C. Topping Planning Innovation Award: This award will honor the best new approach to solving a hazard mitigation, disaster recovery, or resilience problem within the past two years.
- Adrian Freund Lifetime Achievement Award: This will honor the most outstanding overall career achievement regarding hazard mitigation, disaster recovery, climate adaptation, and resilience for a veteran planner.
Not every award is given every year. Nominations are open for 2025! Submit a nomination here by March 6, 2025.

NPC25 Reception
Please join the American Planning Association's Hazard Mitigation and Disaster Recovery Division for our annual reception on March 31, 2025 in Denver, Colorado. Connect with old colleagues and meet new ones at Tamayo in downtown Denver. Ticket includes a drink and many snacks. We look forward to seeing you there!
